Childhood
It all starts out in Tupelo, Mississipi. The King, Elvis Aaron Presley was born on January eighth, 1935. Elvis was born to his mother Glady and his father Veron. Along with Elvis was born with an identical twin brother named Jesse Garon Presley, Unfortunately his brother passed away soon after birth. As time went on Elvis grew to love his family very much, especially his mother. His father had a problem though, since he could not maintain a steady job he could not maintain a steady income and because of this he had to find different ways to provide for his family. Some of the ways that he would do that would be by food assistance and the illegal way, which got him placed in jail. This was by changing checks. When Veron went to jail it was bad time for the Presley’s not only because their father was in jail but because they lost their home as well. Soon after they lost their home they moved in with family.
Despite the fact that Elvis’s dad was not the ideal dad, the family still had a lot of faith and this is where it is said that Elvis began his career. The reasoning for this is because the family was very religious, therefore they went to church every Sunday. Here, in church, Elvis joined the choir and was introduce to singing. Without knowing it, Elvis received the most important roots of his career. Another factor that influenced Elvis’s career as a child would have to be when he had to sing a country song called “Old Shep” by Red Foley at the Mississippi Alabama fair. The results after he performed made him feel special and that encouraged him to continue. On
Elvis Country Elvis’s next birthday after the show at the Mississippi Alabama fair Elvis received a guitar. The guitar wasn’t that important to him at first. Once he received some lessons and had it for about a year he began to play it and get the feel it.
